Manage your plan
See your plan and how much of each limit you use on Settings > Billing, where workspace admins start a trial, pick a plan, and change the card or plan.
Your plan sets how many websites, tracked keywords, AI prompts, and social accounts your workspace can use. Open Settings > Billing in the sidebar to pick a plan, see your usage, and manage payment.
Only workspace admins can start a trial, pick or upgrade a plan, or open Manage billing. Other members see the same plans and usage without those buttons, and the page says "Only workspace admins can start or change a plan."
Pick a plan
A workspace without a plan sees three cards:
| Starter | Growth | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $79/month | $249/month | Custom pricing |
| Annual | $786.84/year | $2,480.04/year | Custom pricing |
| Websites | 1 | 5 | Custom |
| Tracked keywords | 100 | 750 | Custom |
| AI prompts | 25 | 150 | Custom |
| Social accounts | 3 | 8 | Custom |
As an admin:
- Choose Monthly or Annual above the cards.
- Select a plan:
- Start 3-day trial on Starter charges $1 today to check your card, then the Starter price when the trial ends. Cancel anytime before then.
- Choose Growth starts Growth right away, with no trial.
- Talk to us on Enterprise opens an email to sales@lifewithdata.org.
- Enter your card on the Stripe checkout page. Mark never sees your card number.
When you finish, or go back from the checkout page, you return to Billing, which shows your new plan straight away. The same goes for changes you make in Manage billing.
Read your plan and usage
Once you have a plan, Billing shows:
- Your plan and its status: Trial, Active, or Past due.
- Trial ends in: the days left in a trial.
- Next charge: the date of the next payment. During a trial, that's the day the trial ends.
- Card: the brand and last 4 digits of the card you pay with. If Mark can't reach Stripe, it says "Not available".
- Usage: one meter per limit, such as "84 of 100".
What counts toward each limit:
- Websites: every website in the workspace.
- Tracked keywords: every keyword you track rankings for. A keyword tracked in two places counts twice.
- AI prompts: each active buyer question, once for every market it's checked in. A question checked in two markets counts as two.
- Social accounts: every connected social account.
From 80% of a limit, the meter warns how much you've used. At the limit, it says you've reached it.
When you reach a limit
At a limit, the action stops before Mark spends anything, and a notice appears where its result would have been. It says how much of the limit you've used and when it resets, with a button to Upgrade.
- Plan limits: you can't add a website, tracked keyword, buyer question, market, or social account past your plan's number. Remove one, or upgrade.
- Fair-use limits: keyword research, audience checks, domain and backlink lookups, manual audits and rank checks, published posts, competitors, markets, and file storage have fair-use limits that grow with your plan. The ones counted per billing period reset when your next period starts.
- Too many at once: more than 10 paid actions a minute on Starter, or 20 on Growth, pauses them for a minute.
A workspace without an active plan keeps its data and can read everything, but it can't run paid actions. Start or renew a plan on Billing. Scheduled weekly checks are separate and aren't stopped by these limits.
Change your card or plan
- Select Manage billing to change your card, download invoices, switch between monthly and annual, or cancel. A canceled plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.
- On Starter, select Upgrade to Growth to confirm the switch to Growth at the same billing period. Stripe shows what you'll pay before you confirm.
From an AI agent
A connected agent reads your plan, status, trial
end, and each limit with its usage from get_plan_usage: the same numbers
Billing shows. An agent can't start a trial, pay, or change your card or
plan. It gives you the link to Billing instead.
When an agent's action reaches a limit, the tool returns the same notice
you'd see in the app, with the error plan_limit_reached and the limit, how
much is used, when it resets, and the Billing link.
