# Set up posting slots

> Set the weekly times each channel posts, on the Calendar, and change or remove them later.

A posting slot is a weekday and a time when a channel posts, repeating every
week. Slots are how you say how often a channel posts: three Instagram slots
means three Instagram posts a week. An empty slot shows on the
[Calendar](/docs/use-the-calendar) as a gap to fill.

Slots live on the Calendar: **Content** > **Calendar**. Times are in your
workspace timezone.

## Set up a schedule

Select **Posting schedule** at the top right of the Calendar. The panel lists
every channel's slots, like "Instagram, 2 a week", with a form to add more:

1. Pick a **Channel**.
2. Pick a **Day**, Monday through Sunday.
3. Set a **Time**. It starts at 09:00.
4. Select **Add slot**.

The slot appears in the list and on the Calendar. The form keeps your channel
so you can add the next day's slot straight away. To remove a slot, select
the **×** on its row.

## Add one slot from a day

Hover over a day on the Calendar and select **Add slot** at the bottom of the
day. Pick a **Channel** and a **Time**, then select **Add slot**. The slot
repeats on that weekday every week.

## Change or remove a slot

Select an empty slot on the Calendar. Change its **Day** or **Time** and
select **Save**, or select **Remove slot**. A change applies to every week.

## When a slot can't be saved

* "Pick a channel, a weekday, and a time." Mark couldn't read one of the
  three. Check them and try again.
* "That channel already has a slot at this weekday and time." The slot exists
  already.
* "You must be signed in to an organization." Your session ended. Sign in,
  pick your organization, and try again.
